Classe 1995. Vivo e lavoro tra Venezia e la Sicilia. Sono un'artista che opera nel campo delle arti visive- performative e degli studi queer. Sviluppo teorie e pratiche grazie all'ideazione dell'identità Transghost. Sono autrice di Transghost Manifesto, publicato per Kabul. Magazine. In particolare analizzo i temi del corpo e della finzione nella costituzione dell'identità. La ricerca prende avvio dall'analisi del concetto di performativo linguistico e di genere (Austin e Butler) dagli studi sulla performatività queer (Sedgwick), dalla nozione di corpo e potere (Foucault e Preciado) e di disidentificazione (Muñoz).

Ho fondato a Venezia il collettivo artistico -ness, con il quale nel 2021 ho vinto il bando Biennale College Teatro de La Biennale di Venezia. Tra le altre mostre principali, le mie opere sono state esposte per la Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (Venezia), Art Verona (Verona), Teatro India (Roma), Asolo Film Festival (Asolo), Spazio in Situ (Roma), Aard Uork (Venezia). Sono ricercatrice e docente indipendente di "Estetica delle Arti Contemporanee". "Teorie della Performance Art" e "Teorie Queer e Studi di Genere". Svolge attività di docenza presso enti riconosciuti e accreditati e qualificati dal M.I.U.R

Nel 2019 ho consequito la laurea magistrale in Teatro e Arti Performative all'Università IUAV di Venezia. Dallo stesso anno svolgo attività educative e mediazione culturale presso muse e esposizioni d'arte contemporanea, tra cui La Biennale di Venezia, Palazzo Grassi e Punta della Dogana (Venezia).

Descrizione performance: 'On a Solitary Beach'

Progetto vincitore Biennale College Teatro 2021 La Biennale di Venezia On a Solitary Beach è una performance site-specific che racconta Venezia attraverso una parodica citazione sovversiva dei codici estetici, politici e sociali in cui la città lagunare è stata e viene idealizzata e consumata. La performance prende le forme di un Transghost's Party - un'installazione estemporanea all'interno di un vaporetto dismesso degli anni '20 - per mettere in scena il turismo di massa, le vacanze, la frenesia estiva. Un caos ordinato di gonfiabili da spiaggia satura lo spazio interno del vaporetto fino a inglobare ogni perfomer, che sparisce dentro all'accumulo di plastica che ha il gusto della perversione, del cruising, dello scambio di fluidi corporei, dell'orgasmo. Il tema del party rappresenta il desiderio sessuale e l'attrazione dei corpi, espressi nella dimensione del respiro e/o del soffio condiviso, contagioso, perverso, saturo, manchevole, corto, tolto, orgasmico, faticoso, vitale, liberatorio.

Born in 1995. I live and work between Venice and Sicily. I am an artist working in the fields of visual-performing arts and queer studies. I develop theories and practices thanks to the creation of the Transghost identity. I am the author of Transghost Manifesto, published by Kabul. Magazine. In particular I analyze i themes of the body and fiction in the constitution of identity. The research starts from the analysis of the concept of linguistic and gender performative (Austin and Butler), from studies on queer performativity (Sedgwick), from the notion of body and power (Foucault and Preciado) and of disidentification (Muñoz).

I founded the -ness artistic collective in Venice, with which in 2021 I won the Biennale College Teatro competition at the Venice Biennale. Among other major exhibitions, my works have been exhibited for the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation (Venice), Art Verona (Verona), Teatro India (Rome), Asolo Film Festival (Asolo), Spazio in Situ (Rome), Aard Uork (Venice). I am an independent researcher and lecturer of "Aesthetics of Contemporary Arts" "Theories of Performance Art" and "Queer Theories and Gender Studies". He carries out teaching activities in institutions recognized and accredited and qualified by the M.I.U.R.

In 2019 | obtained a master's degree in Theater and Performing Arts at the IUAV University of Venice. Since the same vear I have been carrying out educational activities and cultural mediation in museums and contemporary art exhibitions, including The Venice Biennale, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana (Venice).

Performance description: 'On a Solitary Beach'

Winning project Biennale College Theater 2021 The Venice Biennale On a Solitary Beach is a site-specific performance that narrates Venice through a parodic subversive citation of the aesthetic, political and social codes in which the lagoon city has been and is idealized and consumed. The performance takes the form of a Transghost's Party - an impromptu installation inside a disused vaporetto from the 1920s - to stage mass tourism, holidays, the summer frenzy. An orderly chaos of beach inflatables saturates the internal space of the vaporetto to incorporate every performer, who disappears inside the accumulation of plastic that has the taste of perversion, of cruising, of the exchange of bodily fluids, of orgasm. The theme of the party represents sexual desire and the attraction of bodies, expressed in the dimension of breath and/or shared breath, contagious, perverse, saturated, lacking, short, removed, orgasmic, tiring, vital, liberating.
